elapsed time on status not updating?

Post by StreamingMeeMee » September 19th, 2019, 6:03 pm

I'm running 21.4 on Ubuntu 19.04. When connected to MPD using telnet, I issue a STATUS cmd and receive this:

Code: Select all

status
volume: 90
repeat: 1
random: 1
single: 0
consume: 0
playlist: 4
playlistlength: 50
mixrampdb: -3.000000
state: play
xfade: 5
mixrampdelay: 1.500000
song: 15
songid: 24
time: 69:276
elapsed: 68.731
bitrate: 320
duration: 276.088
audio: 44100:24:2
nextsong: 30
nextsongid: 15
OK
I then wait approx. 5 seconds and issue another STATUS cmd:

Code: Select all

status
volume: 90
repeat: 1
random: 1
single: 0
consume: 0
playlist: 4
playlistlength: 50
mixrampdb: -3.000000
state: play
xfade: 5
mixrampdelay: 1.500000
song: 15
songid: 24
time: 69:276
elapsed: 68.731
bitrate: 320
duration: 276.088
audio: 44100:24:2
nextsong: 30
nextsongid: 15
OK
As you can see, the 'elapsed' value has not incremented. In fact, it remains static between track changes until I disconnect/reconnect. Then the pattern repeats with the info. that is current as of the time I issue the first STATUS of a telnet session.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Just in case "21.4" means "MPD 0.21.4": your MPD version is ten bug-fix releases behind and thus unsupported. If this still occurs with the latest version, write a bug report, and provide more information. (Why do you believe the elapsed time should change? You did not mention that you're currently playing something, for example.)
