Is it possible to start more than one MPD-server?
I want to use the mpd for a musicsystem in a house and i want to play difrent music in diferet rooms at the same time but everything should be on one server. Every user should have his own server to start his own music whereever he is.

Re: Starting more than one MPD-server
Of course every server needs to listen on its own port, have its own log files and so on.
Re: Starting more than one MPD-server
I have the same problem, but I don't know how I should configure the mpd. Should I put other conf file as the same path as original configuration? What others files I have to change ?
Searching at google , I have seen a mpd daemon patch to make it multi instance but i don't know if the last version mpd works with it .

Re: Starting more than one MPD-server
How to you transport audio from MPD server to every room: TCP/IP (cable or wireless), digital (SPDIF, HDMI) or analog? How about a satellite setup https://www.musicpd.org/doc/user/advanced_config.html
