Is there a way to reference the current song's folder?

Post by gorilladunk »

I use ncmpcpp with mpd. I'd like to make use of the "execute_on_song_change" function in the ncmpcpp config file by making it open a .jpg inside of the current songs folder in mpv. It's easy to get it to open an image with the parameters I want, but I don't know how to make my command reference the current playing songs folder. The command looks something like:

Code: Select all

mpv /path/to/image.jpg --pause --geometry=xxx x+x blah blah blah
If i could change that image path to something that references any jpg in the current songs folder it'd be perfect. If it helps every .jpg in my music folders are all called "albumart.jpg".

Any Ideas?

Thanks
