Question from a ncmpc new user

ncmpc is a fully featured MPD client, which runs in a terminal (using ncurses). Its goal is to provide a keyboard oriented and consistent interface to MPD, without wasting resources.

Question from a ncmpc new user

Post by fturco » March 20th, 2014, 6:22 pm

I'm a new ncmpc + mpd user, coming from Rhythmbox. I'm looking for some way to distinguish music I already listened to from music I haven't listened yet. It seems ncmpc doesn't have the notion of play count like Rhythmbox. I tried consume mode: it removes songs from the playlist after they have been played. It's close to what I need. Is there something better? Thank you.

No, MPD does not keep track of what you've been playing.
