Multiple Instances on Raspberry Pi crashing... why?

Discuss client development (or even MPD development if you feel so inclined), ask questions about the client libs, MPD feature requests from client developers, etc...

Multiple Instances on Raspberry Pi crashing... why?

Post by skwncr »

Hi,

i've done a little node.js app which creates configuration file for icecast and for multiple mpd instances as channel. The app runs all together. But after a random time between seconds and an hour - all mpd`s where crashing.

https://github.com/seekwhencer/icecast-mpd-mpc-node

Only ONE MPD Session is stable. More then one crashes all. I tested it on Vagrant Virtual Machine (Debian) - it runs absolutely stable.

Please: any hint what i can do.

Thanks

As you may have read on my link, 0.19.21 is an unsupported version. Unfortunately, Debian and its derivatives ship known-buggy versions and refuse to provide bug fixes to its users. Therefore, Debian's official packages are useless.

with this version, the first instance is stable. all others not. every instance have its own database. and the log shows me nothing. the avahi name is unique for every instance. all source mp3 files are fixed (mp3val). should i try a older version? mpd freezes and is not reachable, not (graceful) stoppable.

If there is a problem with the very latest version, write a bug report.
