Re: No sound below 35%

Your MPD version is very old and unsupported.
See https://www.musicpd.org/download-unoff-debian/ for how to get current MPD versions for Raspbian.

Re: MPD for windows and satellite setup?

I meant that following the documentation (in the case of the satellite setup) leads to an error (in fact inability to use mpd player) So this is the real problem. And this is why you attempted to do random things contradicting with the documentation, which failed as well, of course. This path only ...

But the proceedings according documentation seems to does't work for 'windows satelites'...
I fail to grasp this sentence, this doesn't appear to make any sense. Rephrase.

Re: MPD for windows and satellite setup?

You should follow the MPD documentation, and not make up something else and then wonder why it doesn't work.

Re: MPD for windows and satellite setup?

Something is wrong. Are you sure you want to use NFS? Because NFS addresses start with "nfs://" and have no backslashes.
See https://www.musicpd.org/doc/html/plugins.html#nfs

Re: WASAPI plugin?

Strangely, the GCC website (https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/manual/status.html#status.iso.2017) documents that std::string_view is available since GCC 7.1, and you have GCC 9.3, so it *should* work. But it does not. Something is broken with your compiler installation, but I don't know what....

Re: WASAPI plugin?

Your C++ compiler is too old. MPD 0.22 requires (as documented) a C++17 compliant compiler, but yours is not.

Don't use sudo!
Upload libmodplug's config.log.

This is a MPD 0.22 feature, but you're using 0.21.

Re: exception: Failed to decode failed with NFS3ERR_NOTDIR(-20)

Wait... I think I see the problem now.
"Pink Floyd - More.cue/track0010"

This is a virtual track inside a CUE file. And apparently, MPD cannot recognize that NFS error properly, and doesn't dig into just "Pink Floyd - More.cue" instead.

Can you write a bug report on GitHub about this?

Re: exception: Failed to decode failed with NFS3ERR_NOTDIR(-20)

But does the main MPD really use the same paths?
This error message originates from your NFS server, it's not just MPD's opinion that the file doesn't exist.... my educated guess is that there's an asymmetry in your path configurations.

Re: mpd.conf file missing

Technically, you don't need a configuration file, so you don't need to create one.
Did you answer the questions I asked? If you need any further help, you should post the answers before asking more questions.

Re: mpd.conf file missing

Create it.
Why do you want to have a configuration file? What do you want to have in there? .... after answering those questions (for yourself), just create the file with the desired contents. If you need help with that and the documentation is too sparse, you can ask here.

Re: Stange client behaviour [Solved}

Sometimes, it happens that a new version comes with a new bug, and once it gets reported, it gets fixed.
Unfortunately, Debian and Raspbian choose not to ship bugfixes to their users. Which causes lots of frustration for their users.

Re: Stange client behaviour

0.21.4 is a very old version, and there were lots of bug fixes after that. Before we continue, upgrade to the latest version to be sure. There are Raspbian builds: https://www.musicpd.org/download-unoff-debian/
