Max, Here is an example from my database: When I browse 'Genres' at the top of the list is an entry named '149'. It contains one album 'a frames', with the complete track listing inside. Thanks for the reply Max. I almost always do an 'mpc update' after adding new files [frequently]. I still see apparently bogus entries when browsing, but this gives me a clue as to the cause. Possibly from random scattered files at the music directory root. I'm working that now. Great if that's all ...

how to edit mpd database?

MPD 0.21.23 on RaspberryPi debian 9.11

My mpd database contains a lot of crufty old obsolete data, which I would like to remove. But I can't find any documentation on how to edit the database.

Asking for suggestions, pointers, links, advice.
